Come Play with Us

Blackstone Valley Mounted Archers (BVMA) is a chapter of the Mounted Archery Association of the Americas (MA3). Our goal is to promote the ancient sport of horseback archery in a fun, safe and inviting way. We have regular practices and participate in competitions, though competing is not a requirement, many of our members choose not to.  Whether you have ridden or done archery for many years or have never touched a horse or a bow, we can help bring out your inner warrior.

Archery

"In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself."

ABOUT

Established in January of 2020, Blackstone Valley Mounted Archers practices out of High View Farm in Cumberland, RI. While we are fairly new to the mounted archery world, High View Farm has been offering riding lessons for over 40 years and we have many wonderful, safe lesson horses that have readily taken to mounted archery for use during our practices.

Practices are generally on Saturday afternoons and go all year round. Some practices are mounted, using the horses, and others are ground practices.
